Shamanic Drumming #1

I descend in to a dark abyss which opens up into a colorful cave. There are red and orange stalagtites, and brick red boulders on the ground. One small red pebble grabs my attention but a wolf comes up and beckons me to follow. I run after it. It runs to an apple tree, which it jumps at with its forepaws. I touch the tree and am on a pathway next to a river, with canoes in it. There is an old man there. I ask him what is my life's purpose. He says to dive deep. I am on a canoe on the water. Then on a speed boat. As I look at the engine of the boat, I ask my question again. I am with the old man again. The wolf beckons me to a red shed with an ajar door. It is black inside. I follow and inside I am told that this area would be a wonderful place to work, it just needs to be cleaned out. I have a broom and begin to sweep. The old man casts a net over me and tells me that this net will both protect me from all harm and will allow me to reach farther in my life (network). He tells me that my heart is not clear but is blocked, and he quickly opens my heart, telling me that this open heart will be safe and will be able to look at life's occurrences from the heart and without risk of harm. My heart needs to stay free of fear because all that is good will shy away from fear and will stay away. If I am free and open, then good will be attracted to that and will find me.

This was from a Shamanic Drumming session from the Book-on-CD Intentional Healing by Jeanne Achteberg. The session must have lasted a good 15 minutes and the experience was very intense. Thank you Jeanne for bringing your wisdom into the world. You are a treasure.
